In order to avoid the guilty feeling after eating so much fatty Lebarancious food, Mbak Anna and I went for jogging in Senayan this morning. No, actually this is our routine habit, not only after Lebaran :) After one and a half hour jogging and playing badminton, we decided to reward ourselves with a good breakfast. Initially we were going to Paun at Patiunus. They usually have good chicken porridge or meatball soup. Unfortunately, they were still closed for Lebaran.
Okay, go to second option. I remember few days ago when I passed on Kemang Raya road, I noticed a sign about Bread and Breakfast just across KFC. So we decided to go to that place. I know, I know, American breakfast has never been my favourite, but hey... let's give it a try... Even though there were many cars parking at 8.45 am (which was a sign that the place was open), we easily got a parking slot. The venue is actually located on the second floor. Not a big place, but nice atmosphere. When we got there, I think we were the only ones that have not taken a morning shower and full of sweat... Hmmmm, the others seem they are ready for the mall!
We ordered a set menu that consists of toast, harsh brown, egg, and beef sausages. Not bad, but standard... well, what could you expect? For me, chicken porridge (or "bubur ayam pinggir jalan") is much more delicious. We also ordered lemon tea and strawberry tea... they are good because they use regular Lipton tea, but they add the natural lemon and strawberry water. Price was so-so... they range between Rp. 25K to Rp. 35K for breakfast menu and tea is Rp. 10K (for me too expensive for breakfast); they also have steak, fried rice, chicken and other big meal. Unbelievably, you could order those for breakfast, too! For me, it was just a breakfast experience. Since I like the ambience, I will probably come back again but certainly not for breakfast! Perhaps just for hang out with friends.
Ups sorry no pictures available... we just wanted to do a Sunday exercise so none of us brought the camera :)

Kangen ama bubur ayam pinggir jalan euiy... di Qatar mana ada yg kayak gituan he..he..
I am not surprised when mbak Ita told me this afternoon that she just made a blog containing all about foods ;P She has the right combination; food lover with unusual eating appetite and writing talent. I always love to accompany her visiting foodstall or restaurant with great taste...like satay Africa in KS Tubun. About the Bread and Breakfast, truly speaking I have never tried it before but I always trust what mbak Ita senses about any foods she's eating.
Kalo Lela emang pengikut sejati Ita he..he.. woooi jgn ngomong sate afrika terus, ntar gw bisa nge-ces & ngiler di qatar he..he..
