Soto Kaki, hmmm what would be the English translation? Feet Soup :) Well, we ordered three bowls of soto plus rice. Beside kaki, they also have daging and jeroan. The style was like Soto Betawi, so it was cooked with coconut milk. The taste was nothing special. Well, talking about Soto Betawi, Soto Betawi Pak Yus in Teuku Umar is much better than this one. Moreover, Soto Kaki Haji Asmawi in Tanah Abang is the best! In Soto Kaki Haji Asmawi, they do not use coconut milk and the soup is clear; I never leave any little tiny drop of soup in the bowl.... Unfortunately too many preman in Tanah Abang, so whenever we feel like we want to go there, we prefer to be accompanied by our male colleagues.
We ended up paying Rp. 17 K per person for a bowl of soto, a portion of rice, kerupuk and hot tea. It was just fair, I will not highly recommend.

Talking about soto betawi? You should try Soto Pak Haji Ma'ruf in Taman Ismail Marzuki. The taste is so different to others. Our family has enjoyed this soto since I was child. Though the price is rather expensive you won't regret for it.
I will never forget the experience of having "soto kaki" lunch with mbak Ita (hmmm, I think mas Andy is quite right that I am "pengikut setia" mbak Ita...in term of having lunch :P)at soto kaki food stall (it's really small food stall, known as "warung tenda kaki 5", located at the side of Tanahabang road nearby the pasar Tanahabang). The taste is yummy eventhough not supporting by the surrounding view. I also like the satay. Having tried soto kaki jalan sabang, I felt the taste is so so compared to the other soto kaki I mentioned earlier.
Ta, cerita2 tentang soto betawi pak Yus dong.. trus fotonya jgn cuma makannya, tapi foto tempatnya juga dari luar, jadi yg belum pernah kesana ada gambaran kalo mau kesana.
