Tengkleng Sapi Resto 30

Today I met Pak Sugeng and Mbak Ade in Resto 30. I had never been here before and I heard that the restaurant offers selection of traditional Solo food. The decoration in the restaurant was very unique. As we entered the room, we felt like we were entering a family's living room. In this area, the visitors are allowed to smoke. For those of you who do not smoke, you could ask for a non-smoking room.

I ordered Tengkleng Sapi with rice, Mbak Ade Selat Solo and Pak Sugeng Nasi Liwet. My Tengkleng was served hot in a very big pot. The look was very convincing but the taste was very light, not special. The meat should be cooked longer as it was a bit hard to chew. Well, this was my second time having Tengkleng (the first one was in a restaurant in Abdul Muis), so I guess I am not competent enough to make comment :) Mbak Ade liked her Selat Solo and Pak Sugeng was okay with his Nasi Liwet.

If you'd like to try, Resto 30 is located in Jalan TB Simatupang, from Citos, make a U turn; Resto 30 is on your left before Mobil 88. I think you should try Soto Nggading, it's their signature dish.
