I was glad we finally got the ticket. I wasn’t expecting large number of moviegoers since it’s been out for a while. In fact, there were only few remaining seats when we arrived at a quarter before 2 pm. Gosh, we were lucky to get 3 tickets as I did not want another delay in seeing this. I enjoyed the film very much. I loved the acting of all Laskar Pelangi members, Cut Mini and Ikranegara. The tone was somber towards the end that I had to release a couple of tears. Lintang, the smartest student in the class could not continue his education because his father never came back from fishing in the sea. It was a poor family so when the father passed away, Lintang as the oldest son would have to work to go on his life and his younger sisters. Though you could argue otherwise, to me Lintang still reflects a success… he’s successful because he keeps his dreams alive, forever, and that he inherits them to his daughter. I gave high rating for both the book and the movie. Really a masterpiece.
Sunday evening was sealed by another mouthwatering Mom’s Kuah Asam Kepala Kerapu. I tell you, nothing could beat this! Wait a minute... it's Monday again... Oh no, got to go for work...
