Rumah Makan Ny Ali

We went to Rumah Makan Ny. Ali in Jalan Kramat Pela (Jalan Barito II) No. 11 after Atin & I did some exercise in Taman Langsat the other Sunday. We were interested in trying because we read an article in newspaper about this venue, which also opens for breakfast. When we entered the restaurant, we found out that the place was quite full. Fortunately, there was still space at the back corner of the room. Though we could see the AC, it was not operated at that time so we felt a bit warmer.

We decided to check out Bubur Ayam and Mie Kangkung. Bubur Ayam was served in a sapo bowl and the accessories (cakwe, seledri, ayam, bawang goreng, tongcai, kedelai and ati ampla) in a separate plate. Bubur Ayam was okay, it didn’t taste too much MSG which was good and the sambal available on every table was a perfect combination with the Bubur. Mie Kangkung was also not bad, although Atin thought it was too sweet/too much sweet soy sauce. What we both agreed was that the food and drinks are somewhat pricey. Bubur Ayam was tagged Rp 18 K, Mie Kangkung Rp 20 K, Glass of Aqua Rp 4 K. This place is also known for its traditional snacks, such as kue mangkok, risoles, tahu isi, otak-otak, serabi, etc.
