My trip to Balikpapan was a wonderful one. Nothing could be better than doing a culinary tour accompanied by best friends. For crabs dine-in I always choose
Dandito, but for take-away as
oleh-oleh,
my choice is always
Kenari. So, there we went. Dinner on the day of arrival was in
Dandito, we ordered Steam Crab and Cah Kangkung. The crab was excellent as always, very fresh and even the juice was delicious, we took it till the last drop. The next day, we went to
Dandito again(!),

but instead of just the two of us, we were five this time. Riri was very kind, she picked us up in the hotel. Once more, Steam Crab was in the menu. Others included Crab in Special Dandito Sauce, Cah Kangkung, Ikan Bakar, Fried Squid. All tasty, yummy, appetizing.
Apparently those meals were not enough for Mas Nyoman. Thus, our second sto

p that night was
Sate Kambing Tanjung Hijrah. I could not believe he could have more: rice, gulai kambing, sate kambing and sate ayam. Ho ho ho… I could not follow his step, I was defeated this time, a great loss :)
We had the opportunity to once again eat outside in our last day. Riri took us to a rumah makan Manado where we had nasi campur. What’s special for me was Jan

tung Pisang that was cooked with Manadonese style. Excellent. Es kacang merah concluded our lunch.
