In my opinion, this was the best place in our culinary tour around Jogja and I'll tell you why so please keep reading....
Warung Makan Lombok Ijo Sego Abang is located in
Jl. Pakem Turi KM 1, about one hour drive from Jogja. We arrived around 12.30 pm on a Sunday. Although the place was full, the service was very good and relatively quick. In just few minutes,
sego abang (brown rice),
lombok ijo (with appearance lik

e
lodeh), fried chicken, liver, tofu and tempe (
baceman ayam, ati ayam, tahu dan tempe) were served in front of us. Also,
daun papaya cooked with coconut milk and
trancam (just like
karedok, but more sweet).
I started to put some rice which was still warm to my plate. I took a piece of chicken and tofu and I poured my rice with
sayur lombok ijo and some
daun pepaya. It w

as hard to describe how delicious it was! The combination was perfect and as an added value, it was also healthy food since the brown rice got an organic certification (meaning grown naturally without fertilizer). Javanese people will say "sedep" which describes that the food was very good. We had teh poci with gula batu for drinks; we also had some
kripik and
getuk for appetizer and we paid Rp 100 K for 4 people. All felt lik

e we were in heaven that day...... :)
