Y&Y

For some reason, Winta and I ought to settle a deal in Grand Indonesia yesterday. After we finished the transaction, it was already 2.30 pm and none of us had lunch. There were plenty restaurants in the mall and our choice was Y&Y. At that time, the restaurant was fully occupied by groups of people.

Though it was packed, it did not take us a long time to get the table. We wanted to order a bento and a bowl of rice-type of food, but they were running out of them. With the apologetic tone, the waitress said that they did not anticipate the crowd since the morning so the only available serving dishes at that moment are pasta, pizza and steak. Both of us are not big fans of pasta, pizza and steak, but we were too lazy to find another eating place. So at the end of the day we ordered “thyme and parsley fettuccini with minced wagyu sauce” and “black pepper tagliatelle with salmon meat”. What do the names tell you? Not a clue.

It turned out that the fettuccini was overcooked and the sauce left a fatty flavor in the lip so Winta said that hers was not a success. Mine (the tagliatelle) was okay, the chunks of salmon were tasty, but it was nothing special. Overall it’s just standard. One would have to pay about Rp. 50 K – 100 K (or more depending on what you order) for the meals and the hangout spot to see the eminent water fountain.
