There is an area behind Bank Indonesia Mosque that my friends and I frequently visits for lunch. It is a semi-confined non-AC building with green roof that is noticeable if you walk past the mosque. It houses several food vendors, so we have many choices. We usually order either one of soto kikil, soto lidah sapi, tongseng, pecel lele, rawon, gado-gado, sate ayam, sate kambing, yamin ayam, rujak – all
so tasty in proportion to the price. The other day I had soto kikil + rice and es jeruk, it cost only Rp. 17 K. The only problem for us - if it is raining, we have to cross and walk along Budi Kemuliaan Street and Tanah Abang Timur and no one brings umbrella…. mea
