Mie Baso Boy Santa

Mie Baso Boy has been long recognized in Kebayoran Baru neighborhood. Since I was a little kid, my parents used to take me to the small noodle eating place in Blok M, near Aldiron Plaza, below Lipstick Discotheque; the discotheque was a very well known hang-out location for youngsters in the 80s. They only had mie ayam baso and mie ayam pangsit with regular sodas, orange juice and tea for drinks. Several years later, their family member opened up a small noodle restaurant in Jalan Cikajang no 2 near Pasar Santa. There is also another one in Mayestik but we often come to Cikajang.

The taste of noodle is special and there are three (chili and tomato) sauces that have unique flavors, one is dominantly sour, another with a bit of pala essence. There are more selections in Mie Boy Cikajang: bihun ayam/ayam jamur/baso/pangsit, nasi tim, mie ayam/ayam jamur/baso/pangsit and kelapa muda. We could also ask for the noodle in big portion (equal to one and a half bowl). You’ll spend less than Rp 100 K for three persons. One more note, do not look for the place in Blok M, it moved to Bintaro.
