Warung Kepiting Dogen and Sapi Bali

Pepi, teh Euis and myself decided to spend the New Year's vacation in Jogjakarta. It was a right decision as Jogja has many splendid types of food for culinary lovers like us. On the first day of 2010, we went to a place namely Warung Kepiting Dogen. It is located in Jl. Umbul Permai, very close to our hotel "Rumah Palagan". The place became quite famous recently as it offers a unique taste of Kepiting Saus Asam Manis, Saus Taucho and Saus Bulldog.

We had Kepiting Saus Asam Manis and Saus Taucho. It is indeed the right choice; bulldog is black pepper sauce and it is too spicy (the owner let us tasting the sauce for free). Kepiting Saus Asam Manis was the best... no sauce were left on the plate, even only a drop, ha ha ha. It would be better if the size of the crab was as big as the one in Balikpapan. The vegetable, Pak Choy Saus Tiram was just so so. We tried Es Beras Kencur and Es Kunyit Asam for drinks, which were not bad and made us fresh all nite :)

You could also ordered menu from Warung Sapi Bali which is adjacent to Kepiting Dogen (same owner) but we were too full that nite. We promised to go back and try Ayam Kecombrang from Sapi Bali which looked sooooo delicious....
