RM Kenanga – Lebak Jero

Fresh Lalaban
Simple Chili
Looking for the best Sundanese food on the way to Garut? Everyone must have tried Nasi Liwet Astro or RM Cibiuk before. This time you’d better try another one. RM Kenanga in Lebak Jero is on your right before you reach Kadungora; that is if you go to Garut from Bandung.

The restaurant is modest without AC, but quite comfortable. You may choose to have a table or lesehan. What’s so special to me was the sambal, which was made by simple raw ingredients; chili, tomato and lime. Lalaban was plentiful-all fresh and rice was served by a bakul. For the dish, they have the traditional fried chicken, duck, eel, tahu-tempe, perkedel and pepes. All were sinfully tasteful and they wouldn’t cost you a lot.
