Sop Kaki Kambing Zainuddin

If you drive from Jalan Kendal, Central Jakarta, the Sop Kaki Kambing Zainuddin yellow banner in Jalan Tanjung Karang was eye-catching. I really wanted to try this especially because I heard some of my colleagues had been to this place long time ago and they said it was really good. They recently came back but could not find it. I was very curious. By mistake we made a left turn on Jalan Talang Betutu, the road parallel to Jalan Plaju. There it was! A warung style of Sop Kaki Kambing. Actually it was in Jalan Plaju before but lately they moved to Jalan Talang Betutu.

We took the chairs in front of meat display. We were asked what kind of meat we want: kikil, tumit, kuping, tulang pipi, lidah, otak? Huaaaahhhhh, for me everything except lemak and otak. I could see half spoon of minyak samin had been dispensed into the bowl before the soup was poured. The taste was good, though for me not extraordinary. The heat really got us, so we were all sweating, but that’s the best part of culinary tour, isn’t it? For a bowl of soup and rice and drink, you’d pay around Rp 30 K.
