A new restaurant occupies Plaza Senayan the third floor, next to Metro Department Store. The name is Seroeni, Malay Chinese (also called peranakan) cuisine, which is a branch of the same restaurant in Semarang, Central Java.
We were tempted to try it for lunch because it offered a 25% discount for all menu. We ordered Nasi Goreng Ikan Asin, Tom Yam Soup, Mapo Tahu, Hot and Sour Soup. Nothing special for Nasi Goreng and we all thought that the Tom Yam soup was a bit too thick, though delicious. Tahu was the best. It was served in a hot plate with brown sauce and 4 pieces of shrimp on the top. Quite interesting. Lunch was concluded by an apple pie home-made by Didi, mmmmm so yummy. By the way, this was the tester from Didi, so it was not in Seroeni's menu.
Overall the restaurant was a bit pricey, since the portion was not big. We will come back to try another menu if there is discount :)
