You can tell from the name that its specialty is mushroom. Jejamuran has just recently become the top spot for culinary reviewers and food lovers. It is located in Niron Pandowoharjo, Sleman, Jogjakarta.
We were lucky we had the opportunity to chat briefly with the owners. I guessed she was a lady in the mid 50s who's really a good cook. Her intention was to make mushrooms be favourite food for everyone. She was very creative and it was shown in the menu that the restaurant offered. There were Gudeg Jamur (of course, hey we were in Jogja :), tongseng jamur, sate jamur, pepes jamur, sop jamur, rendang jamur, jamur goreng penyet, jamur asam manis and many more....
We actually had to visit this place for three times before we were able to have a seat. The first and second day we arrived around 1 pm and we were told to wait for about two hours and so we decided to find place somewhere else for lunch. The third day, we came for breakfast around 9 am and we were able to sit and relax... Now, you would understand why we ordered almost everything in the menu. The price was also very very reasonable. Everything was soooo good but for me the masterpiece was sate jamur, tongseng jamur and jamur asam manis. Tongseng and sate jamur were no difference from tongseng and sate kambing. Jamur asam manis had a taste similar with cumi asam manis. Go there and figure it out yourself!
