Manokwari Culinary Tour

Another luck for getting the opportunity to visit this city recently. Manokwari is a beautiful place, a capital city of West Papua Province. The scenery from the top of the hill nearby, overlooking the airport and beaches, is magnificent.
The real local food is of course papeda made from sago and fish soup. The others, such as how they make the seafood and meat, are highly influenced by Manado and Makassar style. We tried what the locals said the two best restaurants in town, Café Marsinam and Billy Café. Wonderful choices. Very delicious clear Red Kakap fish head soup that is only comparable to the one in Manado. We indulged ourselves with seafood (and fish soup) all the time as if we wouldn’t find the same in Jakarta.
