Kambing Bakar |
It's been a long time since I last updated this blog. I have been very busy taking care non-culinary matters therefore although I went dining out, I did not have time to write it up.
But now, I'm baaaaacccckkkk :)
This restaurant we visited yesterday, Kambing Bakar Cairo, is located in Jalan Sambas III/126 in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. The billboard was eye-catching... "the 2nd most delicious in Middle East". I think this is against the old marketing advice which would say the 1st most delicious.
Lamb Fried Rice |
Tongseng |
We ordered several from the menu. One portion of Kambing Bakar (Grilled Lamb) for sharing, Lamb Fried Rice, Gulai Kambing, Tongseng and Roti Mariam. Overall, they are good, but not extraordinary. One note on Kambing Bakar, it was served on a hot plate and it did not taste nor smell "kambing" at all. I guess it is because they use fresh kambing muda. Roti Miriam was okay although my friend could tell that the chocolate was not from Ceres :) The price was also reasonable. 5 people had to pay about Rp 200 K for the food and drinks. By the way, if you want to have quick lunch, just order the grill or fried rice, because gulai and tongseng took more than half hour to have them ready on your table. Enjoy!
