RM Sarasa

With my frequent visit to Garut, I took the opportunity to explore another great culinary spot around town. I was informed by group of friends about good noodle soup in RM Sarasa in Jalan Ahmad Yani. I trusted them because their recommendations have never been mistaken.
Yahun Baso
The restaurant, owned by Chinese family, was located in the string of stores, not unusual place for a small city. Bright lighting but no special decoration, just several tables and the cooking area on the front right corner. The menu consists of noodle, rice noodle, meatballs, siomay, meatballs with tofu (tahu baso) as well as capcay and fried rice. Since the specialty was noodle, then that was my selection. I had one portion of Yahun Baso (yamin/yahun means noodle/rice noodle and base soup served in separate bowls). One bowl of yahun and the soup kept me full for the night, meaning the portion was not small. It was also tasty from the fresh ingredients, not from MSG. Capcay came in a huge portion but you could also tell that they were from fresh vegetables. Their hot sauce was also special. To my opinion, all food was great. I think it is not too much to pay for Rp 19 K on the noodle/rice noodle and Rp 32.5 K for capcay. Great friends, great food!
