Delicious Thai Food |
We found this place – Absolute Thai – in the corner of Johor Premium Outlet Suite 1002, about half hour drive from Johor Bahru, Malaysia. We were interested in trying it out after having a look at the menu displayed in front of the restaurant. They offered variety of Thai food and the ambience from outside appeared to be comforting and relaxing. We were greeted by a waiter who walked us to our table. Their menu was a newspaper-style, the first page was to get it started (appetizer, salad, soup). Next was the main menu (curry, poultry, seafood, combo), followed by desserts and drinks. We decided to share so we could taste more and we ordered Mango Salad, Tom Yum Clear Seafood Soup, Pandan Leaf Chicken, Egg Tofu with Minced Chicken and vegetables as well as a bowl of rice. Thai Ice Coffee and Chinese Tea for the drinks. All food was very delicious and the 4 pieces of Pandan Leaf Chicken were noteworthy. They were served well and the portion was neither too small nor big. Mango Salad came with dry shrimp and it was so fresh with the right taste of sour. We chose clear Tom Yum and it didn’t mean that it was not spicy; in fact this clear soup was even more spicy and hot compared to the regular Tom Yum that is usually cooked with red chili.

Menu in Absolute Thai |
The total price for our lunch was RM 83, or about Rp 240 K, including 10% service charge and 6% government tax. Yes, it was not inexpensive but it compensated the fresh material and ingredients and the great taste of the food. So….. spice up your life with Absolute Thai!
